Welcome to Religious Education Program at Sacred Heart Parish
Our Mission
Is to provide a strong foundation of faith and bring Jesus Christ and his message to all the children and Youth of our Parish.
Our Program
Through our program we want to provide our children the opportunity to deepen their relationship with Jesus.
In this journey our catechists want to help each student along this path and establish a closer relationship with God, The Father, The Son and Holy Spirit.
It is important to realize for our children to strengthen their relationship with God, teachers and parents need to walk hand by hand. Parents participation is imperative and that is why this year we have included a Pledge to our registration package.

Ash Wednesday: February 18, 2026
Gr. 1 through Gr. 5 will receive ashes in the classroom
Gr. 6 through Gr. 8 will receive ashes at 6:30 p.m. Mass in the Church
Confession Schedule (during classes)

February 25 – Grade 3 & 4 at 4 p.m.
March 4 – Grade 5 at 4 p.m
March 11 – Grade 6 at 6:30 p.m.
March 18 – Grade 7 at 6:30 p.m.
Confessions/Reconciliation for First Communion students:

Friday, April 17 at 6:00 p.m. in the Church

FIRST COMMUNION
First Communion Rehearsal : Friday, May 1, 2026 at 6 p.m. in the Church
First Communion Date: Saturday, May 2, 2026 at 10 a.m. in the Church
May Crowning Date : Sunday, May 10, 2026 at 9:30 a.m. in the Church
All the First Communion kids are required to attend to Crown our Mother of God, Mary
CONFIRMATION
Confirmation Retreat: Sunday, February 22, 2026 at 10 a.m.-7:30 p.m.
Confirmation Workshop: Wednesday, March 4, 2026 at 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. in the school Hall
Confirmation Rehearsal: Monday, May 11, 2026 at 6 p.m. in the Church
*Candidate and Sponsor are required to be there
Confirmation Date: Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at 6 p.m. in the Church
PLEASE NOTE
As we are all aware, this year has brought us more snow than in previous years. Should classes be canceled due to weather conditions, we will notify you by 3:00 PM. If you do not receive a cancellation notice, please assume that classes are in session as usual.
Additionally, we kindly remind all parents not to park at the entrance of the school parking lot. The road is becoming narrower due to snow piling up on the sides, which makes it difficult for vehicles to pass safely. Please park in the church parking lot and walk up to the school.

DROP OFF/PICK UP INSTRUCTIONS
- DROP OFF: ONE WAY TRAFFIC DURING DROP OFF. ENTER FROM GOLD STREET AND DROP OFF YOUR CHILD AND THEN DRIVE OUT THROUGH CHURCH PARKING LOT.
- PICK UP: WE ARE NOT USING THE SCHOOL PARKING LOT FOR PICK UP. PLEASE PARK YOUR CAR IN THE CHURCH PARKING LOT AND WALK UP TO THE SCHOOL TO PICK UP YOUR CHILD. THE SCHOOL PARKING LOT IS RESERVED FOR TEACHERS AND STAFF ONLY.
- FOR THE FIRST MONTH, PLEASE HAVE YOUR CHILD WEAR A NAME TAG WITH THEIR “NAME” AND “GRADE” FOR EASY IDENTIFICATION. THIS IS MANDATORY FOR GRADE 1 THRU GRADE 5.
